TALENT/MODEL RELEASE

In consideration of the sum of £0 and any other good and valuable considerations, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I, being of legal age, hereby give Joe Murphy Productions, their licensees, successors, legal representatives, and assigns the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use my name and to use, reproduce, edit, exhibit, project, display, copyright, publish and/or resell photography images and/or moving pictures and/or videotaped images and/or audio recordings of me with or without my voice, or in which I may be included in whole or in part, photographed, taped, videotaped, audio recording and/or recorded on 21/09/17 and thereafter, and to circulate the same in all forms and media for art, advertising, trade, competition of every description and/or any other lawful purpose whatsoever. I also consent to the use of any printed matter in conjunction therewith.

I hereby waive any right that I may have to inspect and/or approve the finished product or products or the editorial, advertising, or printed copy or soundtrack that may be used in connection therewith and any right that I may have to control the use to which said product, products, copy and/or soundtrack may be applied.

I hereby release, discharge and agree to save Joe Murphy Productions, their licensees, successors, legal representatives and assigns from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise that may occur or be produced in the making, processing, duplication, projecting or displaying of said picture or images, and from liability for violation of any personal or proprietary right that I may have in conjunction with said pictures or images and with the use thereof.

Legal & Ethical issues

In terms of photo shoot, this might be in terms of misrepresentation, copyright, royalties

LEGAL
In terms of legal issues, these tends to be about who owns the rights to something, or whether you are slandering (saying something about someone that is not true), or sometimes it can be a legal issue of making sure your content is not breaking the law (as in there is no suffering to animals depicted)

ETHICAL
Ethics are more of a minefield and there are certain ethical considerations that we have in the west that are important to understand. Ethics is about what society views as right.

Such as – is there a balance between male/female genders

If there are, are these stereotypical roles (e.g. powerful and strong male, weak female often dressed provocatively)

Is there swearing, are there weapons?

South park is controversial because a lot of people disapprove of its ethics. However, the producers might argue that it is for a small cult audience who are adult enough to know what is right and what is wrong.

Intellectual property	Sound bites taken from Grand Theft Auto 5 are being used within the podcast review in very short portions. No credit will go to Joe Murphy Productions as it is Rockstar’s IP.
Copyright	The official game trailer is used in the podcast review but no visuals are shown as it is all audio.

ETHICAL

Issue	Solved or justified?
Slander	The game is criticized, calling its quality into question during the podcast review. It is part of the review and is not meant to offend or insult.
Gender Equality	There are no females featured throughout the review. This is due to there being no females’ familiar with the product, therefore being unable to review it.
